 What is a Health Plan

- it's a service provision;


- it's the link between the user and medical services;


- it's the one that manages the monthly fees paid by the users in order that everyone can have a price guarantee (expenses) with Medical, Hospital and Outpatient Assistance, to be provided by the help network, in accordance with the law 9.656 / 98 to the duly registered users and must remember of contractual clauses governed by law.

REGULATES HEALTH PLANS


It is the law that regulates supplementary medicine services throughout the country, the law was created to arrange and standardize a market that operated for over 20 years without clear rules.


On June 3, 1998, the National Congress passed Law 9,656, which provides for personal insurance plans for health care throughout Brazil, which was published within the Official Gazette ( DOU ) DE Nº 105, section l, fls 1 to five, on June 4, 1998 during which it's supervised by three bodies:


SUSEP - PRIVATE INSURANCE SUPERITENDENCE


CONSU - SUPPLEMENTARY HEALTH COUNCIL


ANS - NATIONAL SUPPLEMENTARY HEALTH AGENCY


With this, after hearing the insurance regulations , all healthcare companies began to suits all insurance rules determined by the National Supplementary Health Agency ( ANS ), and even being severely punished in order that the health plan user isn't the foremost affected.
